Emu Plains

Date:Aug 07, 2015

This sizeable landscaping project put the finishing touches on this exquisitely detailed new family home in Emu Plains.

Neat, flourishing gardens, surround the home and interweave with functional entertainment spaces – creating a beautiful, private sanctuary. The project was developed in consultation with a landscape architect and the client. Our construction team completed the project on time after being given a strict deadline to work within.

The front rendered Hob Walls and piers with integrated lighting compliment the architecture of the house. Custom built automatic gates echo the curvature of the upstairs windows. The Pyramid shaped Pier Caps were chosen to create height but not overpower the front boundary.

Feature Weeping Cherry Tree adjacent to the front porch will create privacy as well as a pleasant outlook for the front room. The tiled Blue Stone path, laid in Ashlar Pattern, leads you through two open lawn areas to the Front Porch, with neat brick edging bordering the gardens. Formal gardens featuring Buxus Japonica hedges, Gardenias, Sasanqua Camellias and Murraya Paniculata. As time passes and the young Buxus Plants will develop into a stunning hedged entrance way. Sandstone steppers feature in many pathways surrounded with Round River Pebbles. The charcoal coloured concrete driveway compliments the natural tones of the house and the coved texture creates a non-slip surface.

A Sandstone Fire Pit and Sitting area is a great addition to the entertainment area giving space for family and friends to unwind. Weeping Maples feature in the corners of this central space, contrasting the large sandstone steppers. Three Manchurian Pear Trees create the backdrop to the fire pit sitting area. Topiary Standard Lilly Pillys feature in front of the rendered niches, which gives height and depth to the expansive Al Fresco.

Low Allergenic and Evergreen Palmetto Buffalo was used to turf this family’s backyard. Elaeocarpus Eumundi planted on the rear boundary will grow into a dense tall screen. Magnolia ‘Little Gem’ trees feature in each corner.
