This landscaping project on a steep Blue Mountains estate incorporated a huge existing rock shelf. The unusable slope was transformed into various functional areas that took great advantage of the bush views.

Large Sandstone Boulder Steps were hand-picked and carefully integrated as a winding path with the steep, natural rock shelf to create a transition through the front yard. Decomposed Granite Pathways bordered by Recycled Brick Edging connect the various garden spaces, and compliment the natural tones and textures. Decomposed Granite Pathways are a hard-wearing surface, which are easy to maintain, and provide a great bush feel. The Paths link the concealed under-house Rain Water Tanks and Irrigation System with the garden spaces. The Landscaped Garden provided the structural work for the outdoor spaces, which allowed this young professional couple to develop their garden with plants in their leisure time.
